Thanksgiving Heroes—Helping Out Our Community

It’s the season of giving. The Advocates want to help our fellow community members any way we can these holidays—which is why we’re proud to partner with Thanksgiving Heroes. 

This organization is doing important work throughout Salt Lake City. In Utah alone, 316,930 people are struggling with hunger, including 93,050 children. 

While we can’t end hunger, we can ensure people don’t go hungry over Thanksgiving. There are two ways you can help: 

• Donate: Send a Venmo @AdvocatesDonations and include “Thanksgiving Heroes” in the description. We’ll do the shopping for you and deliver it directly to Thanksgiving Heroes. 

• Volunteer: The power of presence is undeniable. Sign-up to help out at the delivery event on November 22nd. 

This season let’s remember that the true spirit of the holidays lies in giving—sharing what we can to bring warmth, hope, and nourishment to others. Together, we can make this Thanksgiving a little brighter for our neighbors in need.
