Dog Bite Reports for 2015

In 2015, the United States of America reported over 4.5-million dog bites. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) announced that one out of every five dog bites became infected, and advised bitten individuals to immediately wash their wounds out with soap and water. If the injury is severe – it is bleeding profusely, there is loss of function to the limb, any extreme pain, muscle or bone exposure, the wound is red, painful, warm, swollen or you develop a fever – seek medical help right away. Children ranging in the ages from five to nine-years-old are the most commonly attacked age group. Men are also much more likely to be attacked than women are. If you or a family member have been attacked by a dog, call the personal injury lawyers with The Advocates.
